China says Pakistan allocates $1.7 billion for CPEC

  • Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying, addressing a press conference on Tuesday, confirmed that Pakistani government has allocated $1.7 billion for its fiscal year (FY) 2017-18, to meet China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) expenditures and for CPEC related projects.

Taliban denies negotiation in presence of invaders

  • Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (Taliban) spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, in a statement, on Tuesday stated, "The Kabul regime and its masters seek peace and negotiations, so that the mujahideen (guerrilla fighters) surrender" declaring "They shall never succeed in such fake processes."
