UN-SG delivers sermon against ‘slavery’

United Nations (UN) Secretary General (UN-SG) Ban Ki-moon, in a statement, on Friday on the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery held that they day calls upon us to remember victims around the world and to reflect on progress towards the elimination of all contemporary forms of slavery, such as forced labour, the worst forms of child labour, forced and servile marriage, bonded labour and human trafficking; an official statement said.

Russia begins mine-clearing Aleppo operation

Advanced detachment of the International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Armed Forces on Friday left for Syria to conduct mine-clearing operation in the eastern areas of the Aleppo City, which had been liberated from insurgents, an official statement said.
