SAFRON - NADRA signs MoU for registering Afghan refugees



  • States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Ministry and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), witnessed by SAFRON Minister Lieutenant General (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch and NADRA chairman, for the documentation of unregistered afghan refugees; an official statement said.

8 TTP terrorists hanged till death



  • Another four hardcore terrorists, who were involved in committing heinous offences relating to terrorism, including killing of innocent civilians, destruction of educational institutions, attacking Armed Forces of Pakistan, Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and Saidu Sharif Airport are executed at a jail in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP); an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said on Thursday.

CIA in South Korea establishes Korea Mission Centre



  • The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has established a Korea Mission Centre, in Republic of Korea (ROK/South Korea) to harness the full resources, capabilities, and authorities of the Agency in addressing the nuclear and ballistic missile threat posed by Democratic Peoples' Republic of Korea (DPRK/North Korea); an official statement said on Wednesday.

ISPR withdraws from Dawn Leaks issue



  • Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday withdrew from its own statement of April 29 (Saturday) wherein government notification referring 'Dawn Leaks' case to All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) was rejected.

Student protest rattles IOK Valley

Pakistan bashes India on unprovoked CFVs at LOC



  • South Asia/South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SA/SAARC) Director General (DG) Mohammad Faisal summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner J.P Singh on Thursday and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations (CFVs) by Indian occupation forces in the night of May 10 and day of May 11, on the line of control (LoC) in Tandar, Subzkot, Khuiratta, Baroh, Bagsar, Khanjar sectors.
