IOK entombs another civilian martyr

SRINAGAR (India): In Indian occupied Kashmir (IOK), despite restrictions thousands of people attended the funeral of a 21 years old Amir Hameed Lone in Chattergul area of Kangan in central IOK’s Ganderbal district on Monday, Lone - a college student of degree college in Ganderbal was critically injured by Indian forces on April 3rd - succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

According to Kashmir media service (KMS), a complete shutdown was observed in Kangan area of Ganderbal district on the second consecutive day, on Monday, against the killing of Lone.

Meanwhile, fearing student protests, the puppet IOK administration decided to suspend the class work in most of the colleges and higher secondary schools across IOK, on Monday. The decision was taken in view of the civilian killings and the consequent student protests.

In Srinagar, Amar Singh college and women’s college were closed, on Monday. Both the colleges had witnessed massive student protests after civilian killings in Shopian.

In Baramulla, government degree college Sopore and boys higher secondary school Sopore were closed. Similarly, the district administration Kupwara had suspended class work at government degree college Kupwara, Handwara and higher secondary school Handwara, Langate and Kralgund. In Shopian, degree college also remained shut.

The Ganderbal district administration decided to suspend class work in all higher secondary schools and degree colleges of the district.
