IED blast at SWA martyrs three FC soldiers

RAWALPINDI: An improvised explosive device (IED) blast on Sunday night during cordon and search operation at South Waziristan Agency’s (SWA) Zarmilan area critically injured at least three Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers, who on Monday succumbed to martyrdom; an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said.
Separately, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif in a statement strongly condemned the incident of bomb blast in South Waziristan that resulted into the martyrdom of three FC personnel.
PM Nawaz extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed to Almighty Allah for blessing the departed souls with eternal peace.
Prime Minister stated that these matchless sacrifices of precious human lives, in the war against terrorism, will always be remembered as they form the most important aspect of our national history.
“They have sacrificed their most valuable assets of lives for the sake of our homeland. There is nothing material to match up to their sacrifices. We as a nation will never forget the greatest contributions of our valiant Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in the war against the enemies of our country,” PM Nawaz held.
The PM stressed that Pakistan, by the grace of Almighty Allah, has defeated the monster of terrorism by breaking the backbone of terrorists’ network across the country.
“We have won this war and will, God willing, eliminate the remaining very soon” adding “This all was possible owing to the valiant, determined and brave forces of Pakistan” appreciating “We as a nation acknowledge their great sacrifices in the line of duties and will never forget them,” PM Nawaz added.
