Troops martyr three plus a lady in IOK

SRINAGAR (Indian Occupied Kashmir): In Indian occupied Kashmir (IOK), Indian troops in their fresh act of State terrorism martyred three youth and a woman in Handwara area of Kupwara district, on Monday; kashmir media service (KMS) reported.

The killings took place during a joint operation by Indian army, police and paramilitary central reserve police force in Younsu village of Handwara town. Indian police claimed that the youth were killed during an encounter with the troops. A woman, identified as Misra Bano, was shot dead by troops in the same area.

The puppet IOK authorities suspended mobile and Internet services in Sopore and Handwara areas of the district immediately after the killings.

Thousands of people while braving rains and cold weather participated in the funeral of the martyred woman in Handwara town. The mourners carried her body, which was wrapped in “Pakistani flag,” and marched through the village raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.

Senior resistance leaders, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in their statements strongly condemned the brutal killing of the woman and termed it as the worst form of State terrorism.

Other leaders including Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Bilal Siddiqi, Nahida Nasreen, Zamrooda Habib, Fareeda Behanji, Yasmeen Raja, Zafar Akbar Butt, Javed Ahmad Mir and peoples freedom league in their statements said that trigger-happy Indian troops had crossed every limit of brutality and oppression in IOK.

Meanwhile, massive anti-India protests were held against the use of brute force by the Indian troops on civilians in Ajas area of Bandipora district.

Indian police arrested a French journalist, Paul Comiti, while he was filming pellet victims in IOK.

The police registered a case under passport act against Comiti and lodged him in Kothibagh police station in Srinagar.

Separately, around half a dozen people were killed in a road accident on Jammu-Srinagar highway, on Monday. The incident took place when a bus carrying a marriage party plunged into a gorge at Gharian Dhanas near Chenani in Udhampur district.
