Taliban celebrates independence

KABUL (Afghanistan): Taliban (also known as the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan) spokesman M. Naeem in a tweet on Tuesday stated, “Praise be to God. Congratulations to all the countrymen and dear freedom-fighting people: today, virtually all foreign forces have left our clean and martyred land. Congratulations people! May Allah Almighty help us to rebuild our country together.”

According to his tweets (https://twitter.com/IeaOffice), on Tuesday, the three-day meeting of the Taliban leadership council was held in Kandahar province under the chairmanship of the supreme leader Hibatullah Akhundzada.

The meeting, which began on Saturday, ended on Monday. During the three-day meeting, the current political, security and social issues of the country were discussed in detail.

A number of decisions were taken on the protection of treasury goods and facilities and on treating the people well and providing them with facilities, as well as necessary consultations on the formation of a new Islamic government and cabinet in the country.

At the end of the meeting, the Taliban president gave comprehensive instructions to the members of the council and made them all aware of their responsibilities.

Separately, on Tuesday, Taliban deputy chief of the political office Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai and his accompanying delegation met with the ambassador of China Zhou Jian in Doha.

According to Taliban spokesman M. Naeem tweets (https://twitter.com/IeaOffice), on Tuesday, “They are in for a new transformation,” Chinese ambassador Jian said.

On the positive side, the formation of a new government is a matter for the defenders themselves.

China continues its good relations and assistance with Afghanistan.

“We now intend to send some humanitarian aid to Afghanistan,” he said.

Taliban thanked China for its assistance.
