Sushma in Iran to inaugurate Chabahar port

NEW DELHI (India): Indian foreign minister Sushma Swaraj, on her return from Shanghai cooperation organisation (SCO), arrived in Iran on Saturday and exchanged views with her counterpart Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif on cooperation in Chabahar port which will be inaugurated by Iranian president Hassan Rouhani today at presence of ministers from India, Afghanistan and the region; an official statement said.

Both sides discussed the various aspects of India-Iran relations and ways to strengthen it. 

They reviewed the initiatives undertaken since the visit of Indian prime minister Narendra Modi to Iran in May 2016.

Both Ministers also exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.
