MOSCOW (Russia): The visit of Russian defence minister Sergei Shoigu to Myanmar has given additional impetus to military and technical cooperation between the two countries as Myanmar is actively procuring the Russian armaments and military hardware, including the Sukhoi Su-30 fighter jets; an official statement announced on Monday.

According to detail, this was announced by Russian deputy defence minister lieutenant general Alexander Fomin.

He expressed confidence that Su-30 warplanes will become the main fighter jets of Myanmar’s air force to protect territorial integrity and repel terrorist attacks.
