RECA grieves COVID-19 impacted realtors

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of real estate consultant association (RECA), led by president federation of realtors, Sardar Tahir Mehmood, called on president Arif Alvi, Thursday, they apprised president Alvi about the problems and challenges being faced by the real estate sector in the country amid COVID-19 (coronavirus).

According to an official statement, the participants informed that the real estate sector had badly been affected by recession and the current COVID-19 pandemic and sought government support in this regard.

While talking to the delegation, president Alvi said that the government had already taken measures to help this sector by announcing incentivised package for construction industry.

He further stated that establishment of real estate regulatory authority will help facilitate and strengthen the real estate sector.

The delegation also comprised of Punjab federation of realtors vice president (VP) M. Ahsan Malik, executive member Zulqarnanin Abbasi, real estate consultant association patron-in-chief brigadier (R) M. Sher Anwar, real estate consultants association president Farrukh Riaz, defence housing authority (DHA) Islamabad-Rawalpindi major (R) Ahmed Nadeem Qasim, real estate consultants association VP DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi Zahid Rafiq, Islamabad estate agents association general secretary Israr-ul-Haq, Islamabad estate agents association executive member Saad Khan, real estate agents association B-17 Taxila president and Pakistan tax bar council VP Syed Tansir Bokhari.
