Putin greets Kazakhstani president

MOSCOW (Russia): Russian president Vladimir Putin, on Saturday, greeted Kazakhstan president Nursultan Nazarbayev on Kazakhstani independence day and appreciated, “Kazakhstan’s achievements in the economy, social sphere, science and technology are commendable, the great respect enjoyed internationally and its significant contribution to solving urgent international problems, including as a United Nations (UN) Security Council’s non-permanent member, as well as within the framework of the Astana process.”

Putin praised the successful development of Russia-Kazakhstan relations based on the traditions of friendship, neighbourliness and mutual respect, both bilaterally and in the context of the advancing Eurasian integration processes.

He expressed his confidence in the further strengthening of the strategic partnership and allied relations between Russia and Kazakhstan for the benefit of the two brotherly nations and in the interests of international security and stability.
