President lauds SCCI on upgrading SIAL

ISLAMABAD: The president Arif Alvi said, Wednesday, up-gradation up to international standards of Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL), by Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), will enhance exports, trade and tourism.

According to a press release, he made these remarks in a meeting with management of SIAL, at Aiwan-e-Sadr, in federal capital.

While lauding the role of SCCI in establishing first private aviation facility, president Alvi said SIAL will facilitate exporters, entrepreneurs and will help accelerate economic activities.

He reminded, during Covid-19 (coronavirus) pandemic the incumbent regime provided financial stimulus package to mitigate adverse impact of coronavirus outbreak.

President Alvi appreciated contribution made by Sialkot’s business community in promoting education and providing health facilities at grassroots level.

The meeting was attended by aviation minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan, aviation secretary Shoukat Ali, SIAL chairman Mian Naeem Javed and civil aviation authority (CAA) director general.
