President farewells outgoing Vietnamese ambassador Kim

ISLAMABAD: The president Arif Alvi congratulated the outgoing Vietnamese ambassador Pham Hoang Kim on successful completion of his tenure in Pakistan, Monday, and appreciated his efforts towards promotion of bilateral ties.

According to a press release, Vietnamese ambassador called on the president at presidential palace in federal capital.

President Alvi said Pakistan highly values its relations with Vietnam and wants to further strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

He said Vietnamese investors needed to take advantage of Pakistan’s improved business environment as Pakistan offers on-arrival visa facility to Vietnamese nationals.

While highlighting the need to institutionalise high-level bilateral exchanges, president Alvi said the exchange of parliamentary delegations will open up new avenues of bilateral cooperation.

He stated Pakistan admired the fast-paced economic growth of Vietnam.

“Pakistan is grateful of Vietnam’s support to Pakistan to become full-dialogue partner with association of southeast asian nations (ASEAN),” president Alvi appreciated.

He underlined the need to foster people-to-people contacts by promoting cooperation in the fields of tourism and education.
