Pakistan conducts successful test of Fatah-1 GMLRS

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan, on Tuesday, conducted a successful test flight of indigenously developed Fatah-1 - guided multi launch rocket system (GMLRS), capable of delivering a conventional warhead.

According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, the weapon system will give the army the capability of precision target engagement deep inside the enemy territory.

The president Arif Alvi, prime minister (PM) Imran Khan, chairman joint chiefs of staff committee (CJCSC) general (Gen.) Nadeem Raza and the chief of army staff (COAS) Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa congratulated the participating troops and scientists on successful conduct of flight test, ISPR press release concluded.

According to reports, Fatah-1 GMLRS is capable of delivering a conventional warhead up-to a range of 140 kilometres (kms).
