

PM Khan visits south Waziristan

According to press releases, the PM inaugurated a state-of-the-art hospital at Maula Khan Sarai - the MKS hospital.

PM Khan launched the Ehsas Kafalat programme in the district
On the occasion, the special assistant to PM (SAPM) on poverty alleviation and social protection (SAPM-PA-SP) Sania Nishtar assured, “More than 25 percent of south Waziristan’s population will be provided social and economic security through the Ehsas programme in the current year.”
PM Khan appreciated the steps taken by SAPM-PA-SP Nishtar’s division and called for the completion of measures to provide social and economic security to the people of the tribal districts on priority basis.
“Each household of Waziristan, as well as the rest of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) merged districts, will get sehat card plus as part of universal health coverage,” he assured.
PM Khan said, “The goal of the successful youth programme is to provide better employment.”
“I pay tribute to the people of Waziristan for their success in the integration of the tribal areas,” he mentioned.

The PM laid the foundation stone for the expansion and repair to Tanai Gul Kuch road.
The expansion and repair to the road will not only benefit the local population but will also provide better transportation facilities to the adjoining population.

The PM laid the foundation stone for phase-II to Wana cadet college.
Under the project, two new hostels, accommodation for teachers, clean water supply, a mosque and a multi-purpose hall will be constructed at Wana cadet college.
The expansion of Wana cadet college will benefit students not only in Wana but also in other parts of Waziristan.
In addition, PM Khan announced resumption of 3G and 4G internet service in the district.

The PM visited frontier constabulary (FC) headquarters in Wana and paid homage to FC martyrs and laid wreaths at martyrs’ memorial.
PM Khan also planted a tree on the occasion.

In his address to successful youth check distribution ceremony, he mentioned, “Olive cultivation in Waziristan will bring revolution.”
