PM Khan receives briefing on “no one sleeps hungry”

ISLAMABAD: The prime minister (PM) Imran Khan appreciated the proposals, Wednesday, for providing food to deserving people and stressed the need to ensure identification of areas where people are suffering from economic hardship and are deprived of two meals a day.

According to a press release, the PM presided over a briefing on “no one sleeps hungry” in federal capital.

The special assistant to PM on poverty alleviation and social protection (SAPM-PA-SP) Sania Nishtar gave a detailed briefing on the project to PM Khan.

As per the vision of PM, food supply will be ensured through a systematic strategy by identifying areas at risk of food insecurity.

PM Khan said, a comprehensive plan be put in place to make the system accessible to beneficiaries directly and easily.

He hoped, after success of “no one sleeps hungry” programme, it will set an example not only in Pakistan but the entire world.

SAPM-PA-SP Nishtar also briefed the PM on Ehsas donor management system through which donations can be made at individual and institutional levels.

He elaborated, the cost detail will automatically and digitally be accessible to the donor, once the system is ready it will be launched by the end of the first quarter of current year.
