PM Khan likes the idea of another oil refinery

ISLAMABAD: The prime minister (PM) Imran Khan said, Monday, that an additional Pak Arab Oil Refinery (PARCO) will enhance the capacity of petroleum sector.

According to a press release, PM chaired a session in the federal capital on establishing an oil refinery by PARCO in the coastal areas.

He said with completion of project the local market will gain capability of making petroleum products.

The meeting was informed that work on construction of a terminal will begin in 6 months time and that construction of entire refinery will begin after a year.

The energy minister (EM) Omar Ayub Khan, special assistant to PM (SAPM) on petroleum Nadeem Babar along-with other high level officials attended the meeting.
