PBM - MA signs MoU for ration distribution

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) and Muslim aid (MA) joined hands together to distribute ration bags among the deserving persons, during the holy month of Ramazan, Thursday.

According to an official statement, PBM managing director (MD) Aon Abbas Buppi and MA country director (CD) Syed Shahnawaz Ali inked the memorandum of understanding (MoU).

As a part of partnership, collaborative efforts will also be made for women empowerment and self-reliance.

While appreciating the global humanitarian services, rendered by the MA, the PBM MD Buppi admired the support to PBM, in the social protection area.

He said, our cooperative efforts will enable many vulnerable persons to battle the economic crisis during COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

The PBM MD Buppi also anticipated long-term partnership between both organisations, attaining the goals of improving lives of poor populace.

MA CD Ali expressed his willingness for further collaborations with PBM, while commending PBM’s initiatives for the betterment of deprived persons countrywide.

On the occasion, the MA handed over ration bags for PBM to be distributed to the deserving persons.

In addition, sewing machines, cutting table and embroidery machines were also presented to the PBM for its women empowerment centres.
