

Navy conducts bilateral exercise for maritime security

Tuesday – March 9, 2021According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, PN ship conducted bilateral exercises with Japanese maritime self-defence force (JMSDF), Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), Russian Federation Navy (RFN) and United States (US) Navy (USN) ships in the gulf of Aden and the naval air station (NAS).
The deployment of PN ship on regional maritime security patrol (RMSP) in the gulf of Aden and the NAS is part of PN initiative to contribute toward regional maritime security and to support international efforts against the menace of maritime terrorism, piracy and narco-arms smuggling.
