Malaysia offers collaboration in ICT

ISLAMABAD: The Malaysian high commissioner commended, Thursday, the efforts of information technology and telecommunications (IT-T) ministry for promotion of IT and sought collaboration between the two sides in information and communications technology (ICT) field.

According to an official statement, Malaysian high commissioner to Pakistan Ikram Mohammad Ibrahim called on IT-T minister Syed Amin Ul Haque in the federal capital.

He welcomed the high commissioner in his office and during the meeting matters of bilateral cooperation concerning IT and telecommunication were discussed.

The two sides agreed to boost cooperation in field of IT and telecommunication.

IT-T minister Haque mentioned that Pakistan highly values its ties with Malaysia.

He said that under the digital Pakistan vision of prime minister (PM) Imran Khan, IT-T ministry is taking measures for the provision of broadband services countrywide.

The IT-T secretary Shoaib Ahmad Siddique was present at the occasion.
