Japan offers help against COVID-19

ISLAMABAD: Japanese ambassador Kuninori Matsuda, called on the adviser to prime minister on finance and revenue (A-PM-FR) Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Monday, whereat he shared with A-PM-FR the steps being taken by the government of Japan (GoJ) to contain the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the impact they had created so far.

According to an official statement, Japanese ambassador Matsuda said that the GoJ supports the people of Pakistan in these trying times and is ready to offer its expertise and any sort of assistance to the government of Pakistan (GoP) if the situation so requires.

He also discussed certain issues of the Japanese investors in Pakistan arising out of the restrictions on business activities.

The A-PM-FR appreciated the efforts of the GoJ to control the pandemic and thanked the Japanese government for its support to the people of Pakistan.
