Israeli PM discusses regional cooperation with CIA

TEL AVIV (Israel): Israeli prime minister (PM) Naftali Bennett met with United States (US) central intelligence agency (CIA) director William Burns, on Wednesday, and discussed tightening intelligence and security cooperation between Israel and the US, as well as the situation in the Middle East, especially Iran, and possibilities for expanding and deepening regional cooperation.

According to a press release, the Israeli PM met with CIA director at the Kirya in Tel Aviv.

Mossad director David Barnea, incoming national security council head Eyal Hulata, the Israeli PM’s military secretary major general (Maj.-Gen.) Avi Gil and diplomatic adviser Shimrit Meir also attended the meeting.

Last night, Mossad director Barnea met with CIA director Burns in order to discuss the Iranian nuclear issue and additional regional challenges about which the organisations intend to cooperate.
