SRINAGAR (India): In Indian occupied Kashmir (IOK), Indian troops in their fresh act of State terrorism martyred three more Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district, Wednesday, raising the number of the martyred youth to 18 since Monday.

According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS), the troops martyred the three youth during a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Kangan area of the district.

The troops after sealing all the entry and exit points of the area are conducting door-to-door searches.

The troops during military operations martyred two youth in Saimoh area of Pulwama district, on Tuesday, and 13 others in different areas of Poonch and Rajouri districts on Monday.

In IOK, the Indian air force (IAF) has started construction of a three kilometres (kms) long runway adjacent to the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Bijbehara area of the South IOK.

According to KMS, the construction of the emergency landing facility comes at a time when there is a military standoff along the line of actual control (LAC) between the Indian army and Chinese people’s liberation army (PLA).

The work on the runway started two days ago on war footing and an official said that it will be three kms long and will act as an emergency runway facility for fighter jets in case of any emergency.

The passes for the construction of the runway to the trucks and workers were issued by the district administration.

The runway being built on the Srinagar-Jammu highway near Sangam in Islamabad district is nearly 3.5 kms long and currently the level of the strip is being regularised.

Reports said that the work was being done under the “dark of the night” after labourers were given special passes to work.
