India martyrs another, protests rocked Pulwama

According to Kashmir media service (KMS), the troops killed and injured the youth when they were protesting against the siege and search operation in Turkawangam village of the district. One more civilian is said to be critical.
Shopian medical superintendent confirmed the death of a youth to local media. The deceased youth is a resident of Pinjora area of the district. “One of the youth was brought dead to Shopian district hospital. He was taken back immediately by the people,” he told media.
Several youth received bullets and pellets in the troop’s action. All the injured were shifted to hospital. The siege and search operation is going on till last reports came in.
Meanwhile, a protest demonstration led by Jammu and Kashmir Muslim khawateen markaz (JKM-KM) chairperson Yasmeen Raja was staged in Drabgam area of Pulwama district against the Monday killings of three youth by Indian troops in the area.
The protesters carrying “Pakistani flags” raised ‘pro-freedom’, ‘pro-Pakistan’ and ‘anti-India slogans’. Yasmeen Raja while addressing the mourners denounced the forces’ action. She deplored that the global rights bodies, activists, and Indian civil society members had turned a blind eye to the killings in the IOK.
Earlier, Yasmeen Raja along with a party delegation visited the residence of martyr Sameer Ahmed Butt at Drabgam and offered condolences with his family members. The delegation also paid tributes to two other youth, Shahid Ashraf Dar and Aaqib Ahmed who were martyred by the troops in Drabgam.
