India arrests over a dozen youth in IOK

SRINAGAR (India): In Indian occupied Kashmir (IOK), the Indian troops in their fresh act of State terrorism arrested over a dozen youth in the Pulwama district.

According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS), the troops along with the police personnel and paramilitary forces during cordon and search operations (CASOs) and house raids arrested over 17 youth in different areas of Pulwama district.

On the other hand, during the dreaded COVID-19 (coronavirus) spread, Indian troops continued their CASOs in Srinagar, Baramulla, Bandipore, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Budgam, Islamabad, Pulwama, Kulgam, Ramban, Rajouri, Poonch, Kishtwar, Doda and other towns and villages of the districts making the daily life of the people a living hell.

Meanwhile, an earthquake of magnitude 3.9 occurred , with epicentre at 34.21N, 74.85E, located 7 kilometres (km) South-East of Ganderbal and 14 km north of Srinagar, Tuesday morning, the disaster management department in Srinagar said.

A 52-year old male died of a COVID-19 related infection in Sopore which added to 47 deaths in the occupied territory.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Ummat-e-Islami and Ittehad-e-Islami have strongly condemned the killing of innocent youth and destruction of houses during the so-called operation by Indian troops in Shopian district.

The troops killed as many as 9 youth and destroyed around two dozen houses during the operations in Raiban and Melhoora areas of the district.

Ummat-e-Islami leader, Qazi Yasir during a visit to the victim families appealed to the people to come forward to help out the needy families.

He said that the victims of Indian barbarism had been deprived of their roofs and livelihood in Shopian. Their houses have been reduced to rubble, he added.

He said besides destruction of houses, the troops shot a woman five times in her leg during the operation.

Meanwhile, a four-member delegation of Ittehad-e-Islami during a visit to the victim families condemned the demolition of houses and appealed to the well-off people to help them rebuild their houses.

The delegation, comprising senior party leaders including Abu Mujtaba, Ali Muhammad Dar, Riaz Ahmed member and Maulana Irfan Makhdoomi, visited the site of martyrs, on Monday.

Maulana Irfan Makhdomi while condemning Indian barbarism and extrajudicial killing of Innocent youth said such measures can neither break the will of people of IOK nor will thwart them from demanding of right to self-determination.

Ali Muhammad Dar paid glowing tributes to the martyrs. Abu Mujtaba said the mission of the martyrs will be carried to its logical conclusion and their blood will not be allowed to go waste.

He said India is on the verge to quit IOK and Allah will change the situation of IOK and the tyrant Indian forces will have to pay the price of their war crimes against innocent IOK people.

The leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement, Muhammad Shafi Lone, in a statement while paying rich tributes to the IOK youth who were martyred by Indian troops in Shopian said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs will one day bring fruit fruition and Kashmir will gain freedom from Indian occupation.

He said that Indian troops have made the lives of IOK people miserable in the name of coronavirus.

Earlier on Monday, Indian troops in their act of State terrorism, martyred four more Kashmiri youth in Shopian district, raising the toll to 9 in the past 24 hours.

The youth were killed by the troops during a CASO in Pinjoora area of the district.

Five youth were martyred by the troops in the same area, on Sunday.

Earlier, three Indian troops were critically injured in a clash in the same area of the district.

The IOK authorities also suspended all mobile internet services in the district while the operation was going on till the reports last came in.

Meanwhile, Indian troops continued their CASOs in Srinagar, Baramulla, Bandipore, Kupwara, Ganderbal, Budgam, Islamabad, Pulwama, Kulgam, Ramban, Rajouri, Poonch, Kisthwar, Doda and other several towns and villages in the occupied territory.
