Hussain awards Nishan-e-Imtiaz to Badaruddin

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain said, on Monday, that Pakistan has broken the back of terrorism but terrorists are now entering in Pakistan from across the border, fence along Pakistan-Afghanistan border is being built to prevent them, Hussain said this while talking to Malaysian navy chief admiral Tan Sri Ahmad Kamarulzaman bin Haji Ahmad Badaruddin, who called on him on Monday.

According to an official statement, Hussain awarded Nishan-e-Imtiaz (military) to Badaruddin in a special investiture ceremony and pinned it upon.

Hussain underlined that there are exemplary brotherly relations between Pakistan and Malaysia.

He expressed his gratitude for Malaysia’s continuous support to Pakistan’s bid for full dialogue partnership of association of south east Asian nations (ASEAN).

While expressing satisfaction over the relations between the naval forces of both countries, he emphasised that there should be regular exchange of high level delegations to further strengthen these relations.

Hussain underscored that military operations Zerb-e-Azb (ZeA) and Radd-ul-Fasaad (RuF) against terrorism have been successful and that the terrorists have been eradicated from the country.

He highlighted that our armed forces have expertise in counter-terrorism and that they can also provide training to brotherly countries.

Malaysian ambassador Ikram Bin Mohammad Ibrahim, chief of naval staff admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
