FM discusses Pakistani diaspora matters with UAE VP/PM

ISLAMABAD: The foreign minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi discussed, Thursday, matters pertaining to welfare of Pakistani diaspora in United Arab Emirates (UAE) with UAE vice president (VP) / prime minister (PM) Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

According to a press release, the FM called on UAE VP/PM Rashid Al Maktoum in Dubai.

He conveyed warm regards of PM Imran Khan to UAE VP/PM which were warmly reciprocated.

FM Qureshi exchanged views with UAE VP/PM Rashid Al Maktoum on a range of issues of mutual interest.

He discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two brotherly countries, possibilities of enhancing bilateral trade relations and promoting investment, in particular in the field of agriculture.

FM Qureshi requested UAE VP/PM Rashid Al Maktoum to encourage the UAE’s business community to explore immense investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Wishing Dubai expo 2020 a resounding success, he expressed gratitude to the UAE government in enabling Pakistan to participate effectively in the event.

Pakistan and the UAE have close and historic fraternal ties.

FM Qureshi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthen and augment existing strong bilateral relations with the UAE.

The UAE is home to second largest Pakistani community abroad.

Pakistan and the UAE enjoy historic fraternal relations, rooted firmly in shared history, common faith, values and mutual respect.

High-level visits are an important feature, which not only exhibit cordial ties between the two countries but also accord the leadership an opportunity to give further impetus to strengthening bilateral cooperation on a wide range of issues.
