

FM Qureshi reviews anti-COVID-19 strategies

Thursday – April 30, 2020According to an official statement, the political, economic and social implications of the crisis, with particular reference to Pakistan’s foreign policy were discussed.
The FM Qureshi apprised the council about prime minister (PM) Imran Khan’s global initiative for debt relief, the various dimensions of Pakistan’s outreach to the international community in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, and efforts underway for early repatriation of Pakistanis abroad.
The council appreciated the foreign affairs (FA) ministry of FA’ pro-active approach.
The advisory council on FA meets regularly under the chairmanship of the FM and provides independent experts’ inputs on foreign policy formulation.
The foreign secretary Sohail Mahmood, former foreign secretaries, representatives of various ministries along-with senior officials of the FA attended the meeting.
