China denies contacts with Balochistan separatists

BEIJING (China): Chinese foreign office (FO) spokesman Geng Shuang, addressing a press conference, on Thursday denied any involvement whatsoever of Chinese government with Balochistan separatists, asking them not to sabotage the China Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC).

According to detail, he added, the Chinese and the Pakistani governments have been working in coordination on security matters regarding the CPEC.

Shuang said, “We appreciate that Pakistan has already taken a series of important measures for the effective protection of the CPEC projects and Chinese citizens.”

He mentioned, “We hope and believe that the Pakistani side will continue with these efforts to ensure the safety of the CPEC.”

Meanwhile, on India, Shuang warned, “We hope that India could work with us to maintain peace and stability in the China-India border areas, which serves the common interests of the two sides.”
