COAS Gen Bajwa promises justice to Mach families

RAWALPINDI: The chief of army staff (COAS) general (Gen) Qamar Javed Bajwa spent time, Wednesday, with bereaved families of Mach incident, shared their grief and assured them justice.

According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, COAS visited Quetta whereat he also met with a large gathering of Hazara community.

He promised, perpetrators of Mach incident will be brought to justice, “Blood of martyrs will not go in waste.”

Separately, the COAS Gen Bajwa was given detailed security briefing at southern command headquarters.

He was apprised about prevailing security challenges in Balochistan and the measures taken, including border management along Pakistan-Afghanistan and Pakistan-Iran border.

Addressing the garrison officers, COAS Gen Bajwa appreciated their preparedness and efforts for ensuring peace and stability in the province despite difficulties of terrain and distances involved.

“Balochistan is in sharp focus of our enemies due to its strategic potential,” he remarked.

“Balochistan is the future of Pakistan and progress and prosperity of the province is progress of the country,” COAS Gen Bajwa reiterated.

“The disruptive efforts by hostile forces won’t be allowed to succeed,” he emphasised.

“Security, stability and prosperity of Balochistan shall be pursued/ensured to the hilt,” COAS Gen Bajwa concluded.

Earlier, on arrival at Quetta, COAS was received by southern command commander lieutenant general Sarfraz Ali.
