ISLAMABAD: The chief of the naval staff (CNS) admiral (ADM) Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi reiterated, on Thursday, that jointness remains central to the modern concept of military operations as no military force can achieve success in today’s warfare single handedly.

According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, CNS visited the national defence university (NDU), in the federal capital and addressed the course participants of national security and war course.

CNS ADM Niazi emphasised that we must keep abreast with the emerging technology and should make endeavour to deal with the complex and dynamic security environment of the world.

While focusing on the threat milieu, the CNS dwelled on the various initiatives and developmental plans in line with his vision of projecting Pakistan Navy (PN) as a formidable regional maritime power with global outlook.

He emphasised that PN has always been at the forefront in ensuring safety and security of international waters through collaborative maritime security and independent initiative of regional maritime security patrols (RMSP).

CNS ADM Niazi highlighted on the need to harness the potential of Pakistan’s immense maritime resources to provide the much needed stimulus to national economy, to which PN is effectively supporting the government.

He emphasised that PN with the active support of sister services is ready to tackle the maritime security challenges faced by the country.

CNS ADM Niazi paid rich tributes to the role and sacrifices of the armed forces for the defence and security of the country.

He appreciated the efforts of NDU for providing the academic stimulus and honing the professional abilities of course participants.

NDU is the apex military training institute, inculcating advanced professional military training to officers of the armed forces as well as to the officers of friendly countries for assuming future key command and staff appointments.

On his arrival, the naval chief was received by NDU president lieutenant general (Lt.Gen.) Muhammad Saeed.
