CJCSC Gen. Raza calls on top military brass in Qatar

RAWALPINDI: The chairman joint chiefs of staff committee (CJCSC) general (Gen.) Nadeem Raza in his meetings with top civilian/military brass in Qatar, Thursday, dilated upon measures to enhance the level and scope of military engagements between both countries and reaffirmed to continue to forge deeper strategic ties.

According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, in separate meetings CJCSC Gen. Raza called on Qatari state-minister for defence Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah, Qatar armed forces (QAF) chief of staff major general (pilot) Ghanim bin Shaheen Al-Ghanim, and chiefs of Qatari army, navy and airforce.

During the meetings, both sides deliberated upon various areas of interest, bilateral cooperation including security, counter-terrorism and prevailing regional environment particularly with reference to Kashmir and Afghanistan.

CJCSC Gen. Raza also visited Qatar’s national security academy (NSA) and witnessed various facets of ongoing training.

He appreciated high standards of training and skills being attained.

Earlier upon arrival at Qatar’s general headquarters (GHQ), CJCSC Gen. Raza was given the guard of honour by a smartly turned out contingent of QAF.
