Balloki-Haveli injects 2,453 MW: NPPMCL

LAHORE: National power parks management company (NPPMCL) held national flag hoisting ceremonies at Balloki and Haveli power plants on Tuesday; both plants together are providing a total of 2,453 megawatts (MW) to the national grid and have successfully injected over 6.5 billion units.

According to an official statement, Haveli Bahadur Shah power plant began 1,230 MW combined cycle commercial operation in May 2018 whereas Balloki power plant began combined cycle operation in July and is supplying 1,223 MW of electricity to the national grid.

Balloki project director (PD) Akram Kamal performed the flag raising ceremony at Balloki power plant while Haveli PD Dhanpat Kotak performed the flag raising ceremony at Haveli power plant.

Kamal said, “We are proud to have delivered this massive project of great national importance with such speed and quality”.

Kotak said, “Haveli power plant holds the record for being the most efficient power plant in the world with a record fuel efficiency of 62.44 percent”.

The ceremonies were attended by staff and management at NPPMCL along with senior officials at Harbin electric international (HEI), power China (PC), Shandong electric power construction corporation (SEPCO III), national engineering services Pakistan (NESPAK), general electric (GE), Habib Rafiq limited (HRL) and tenaga nasional berhad (TNB) remako.

Senior government officials and members of local town management were also present at the occasion.
