Azerbaijan supports Pakistan on Jammu and Kashmir dispute

ISLAMABAD: Azerbaijani foreign minister (FM) Jeyhun Bayramov expressed gratitude, Thursday, for Pakistan’s support on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with Armenia and reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s consistent support and solidarity on Jammu and Kashmir dispute.

According to a press release, Azerbaijani FM called on prime minister (PM) Imran Khan in the federal capital.

PM Khan extended sincere felicitations on Azerbaijan’s recent success in liberation of its occupied territories.

On Azerbaijan’s call for support in reconstruction and development of liberated territories, the PM assured of all possible assistance from Pakistan.

PM Khan expressed satisfaction on excellent quality of bilateral political relations and emphasised importance of enhancing bilateral trade and energy cooperation.

Azerbaijani FM Bayramov affirmed Azerbaijan’s desire to upgrade bilateral cooperation in all fields.

He conveyed cordial greetings of Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev to PM Khan.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on matters relating to bilateral relations and regional and international issues.
