Abbasi will today participate in WEF

ISLAMABAD: Prime minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will participate in the annual meeting of world economic forum (WEF) in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, from today till tomorrow, on the invitation of the WEF founder and executive chairman Klaus Schwab, whereat he will meetup with key world leaders and chairpersons/chief executive officers (CEOs) of 15 leading multinational organisations from the United States (US), Europe, China and Japan; an official statement said.

According to detail, Abbasi will participate in a meeting with heads of states and governments in a special session of the informal group of world economic leaders.

He will participate in a WEF session titled “the belt and road impact,” today.

Abbasi will give interviews to major international media outlets including the wall street journal, Nikkei/FT group, the Washington post, cable news network (CNN), and the Reuters.

Participation of PM in WEF annual meeting 2018 provides an opportunity to project Pakistan as prime destination of business, investment and trade.

“Moreover, we will showcase Pakistan’s upward economic trajectory and its huge potential” asserting “It will provide the opportunity to meet a number of world leaders in an informal setting and share views on different issues,” official statement concluded.
