

Abbasi in Nepal will congratulate new government

Monday – March 5, 2018According to an official statement, Abbasi will congratulate the newly elected Nepalese PM Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli.
During his visit, he will call on Nepalese president Bidya Devi Bhandari, to provide an opportunity to further expand and strengthen bilateral relations across all areas of mutual interest including trade, education, tourism, defence and people to people contacts.
Ways of invigorating south Asian association of regional cooperation (SAARC) as an important regional organisation will be discussed.
Earlier, Nepalese ambassador Sewa Lamsal Adhikari called on Abbasi on Friday and conveyed the message of welcome from the Nepalese leadership. She discussed how to further strengthen bilateral relations.
Nepal is an important regional country and a close friend. Our ties with Nepal are characterised by cordiality, mutual respect and commonality of interests. Our support to each other at bilateral and multilateral fora has remained indispensible for both the sides, statement concluded.
