3 embrace martyrdom in cross border terrorist attack

RAWALPINDI: Terrorists fired a raid from across the border on Frontiers Corps (FC KP) troops, on Saturday, busy in construction of a new border post at Shunkrai, near Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Mohmand agency, three FC soldiers embraced martyrdom; an inter services public relations (ISPR) statement said.

According to detail, the martyred soldiers were havaldar Munir Khan, lance naik Irshad Hussain and sepoy Haq Nawaz Khan.

During the incident, ISPR statement informed, “Protection party responded and killed five terrorists and injured many others.”

“Fleeing terrorists were seen carrying back the dead bodies and injured” adding “Pakistan paying price of Afghan forces’ lack of capacity to control the ungoverned spaces on the Afghan side of the border,” ISPR statement concluded.

Meanwhile, in another ISPR statement, FC Balochistan, on a tip of terrorists’ presence, conducted sanitisation operation in a mountainous area north of Sibbi.

During the exchange of fire, two terrorists were killed. The killed terrorists were making threatening calls to local population.

Separately, in another sanitisation operation in Gandimgozi Kaur, FC troops killed two terrorists in a hideout, Ammunition and weapons were recovered.
